According to Reuters June 23's news, the French car maker PSA Peugeot Citroen (PSA) has revealed that they will invest 630 million US dollars to build an assembly plant in Morocco in order to reduce production and excessive dependence on the European market.

     They said the new plant will be built in Kenitra, Morocco. In the early years, the capacity is 90000, or will increase to 200000 in the future. The new plant will start producing mini-cars and small cars for Africa and the Middle East in 2019. It will become Africa's first wholly-owned factory.

     In addition, 60% auto parts will perchase from local suppliers. With the gradual improvement of the supply chain, this proportion may reach 80%.
