During President Trump's visit to China, Gong Yueqiong, the general manager of Foton Motor Group, and Paul Doherty, President and CEO of the United States Digit Group(TDG), signed the Memorandum on Smart City Transportation Solutions in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing to jointly develop the smart public traffic system.

 Under the memorandum, Foton Motor Group and the Digit Group will jointly develop electric bus products that meet local needs in the project cooperation of smart cities in Wellington, New Zealand to replace the traditional energy buses as an integral part of the city's smart transportation. At the same time, The Digit Group will use Foton Ou Hui pure electric bus on the project of smart city in Chengyang district,Qingdao.
